Subject:   Part VII application filed by Call-Net Enterprises Inc. for a Review of Compensation Per Call,   Bell Canada Tariff Notice 6747 and TELUS Tariff Notice 111

The Commission received an application dated 5 March 2003 , pursuant to Part VII of the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure , from Call-Net Enterprises Inc., now Rogers Telecom Holdings Inc. (Rogers Telecom). Rogers Telecom requested that the Commission review the rate for Payphone Compensation Per Call for Toll-free calls.

On 23 April 2003 , in response to Rogers Telecom's application, Bell Canada filed Tariff Notice 6747 (TN 6747) on behalf of Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant), Bell Canada, MTS Communications Inc. (MTS), and Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), (collectively the Companies). On 4 July 2003 , in response to Rogers Telecom's application, TELUS filed Tariff Notice 111 (TN 111). On 18 July 2003 , Commission staff indicated by letter to parties that it would deal with Bell Canada TN 6747 and TELUS TN 111 in the same proceeding as Rogers Telecom's application.

By letter dated 24 October 2005 , Rogers Telecom requested the withdrawal of the 3 March 2003 Part VII application for a review of Compensation Per Call. In response to Rogers Telecom's letter, on 26 October 2005 , TELUS requested the withdrawal of Tariff Notice No. 111, and on 10 November 2005 , Bell Canada requested the withdrawal of Tariff Notice No. 6747.

No comments were received regarding Rogers Telecom's request to withdraw the Part VII application for a review of the Compensation Per Call rate, or subsequent withdrawal requests for Bell Canada 's TN 6747 or TELUS' TN 111.

In light of the above, Rogers Telecom's request to withdraw the Part VII application for a review of the Compensation Per Call rate, Bell Canada's request to withdraw TN 6747, and TELUS' request to withdraw TN 111 would seem to be reasonable and the file dealing with these matters will now be closed.

Yours sincerely,
