Re:   Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2005-10 - Review of regulatory framework for the small incumbent local exchange carriers (PN 2005-10) - Bell Canada 's request for Further Responses to Interrogatories

By letter dated 20 October 2005 , Bell Canada ( Bell ) requested further responses to certain of its interrogatories in the PN 2005-10 proceeding. Bell submitted that a deficiency process was required because a number of its interrogatories had not been responded to fully by all parties to whom the interrogatories were addressed.   Bell indicated that it required a complete response to its interrogatories in order to allow it to fully develop its arguments.

In light of the above, the Canadian Independent Telephone Joint Task Force is requested to respond by 25 October 2005 to Bell's letter noted above.   A ruling on Bell 's request for further responses to interrogatories will be issued shortly.

The schedule set out in PN 2005-10 does not currently provide for a process to address deficiency requests.   Accordingly, revised dates for final argument and reply will be set out in the ruling related to Bell 's request.

Yours sincerely,
