Mirko Bibic Re: Bell Canada and SaskTel Part VII Application dated 25 April 2005 , regarding the constitutionality of the Commission's winback restrictions; File No. 8622-B2-200505068 Commission staff is in receipt of a letter dated 19 May 2005 from MTS Allstream Inc. and Call-Net Enterprises Inc. (collectively "the Competitors") requesting an extension of two weeks to the time to file their answer to the above noted Part VII application filed by Bell Canada. Commission staff has also received a letter from Bell Canada , on behalf of itself and Saskatchewan Telecommunications, dated 20 May 2005 opposing the Competitor's request for an extension. Commission staff considers that, under the circumstances, it is appropriate that the Competitors receive their requested extension of time. The Competitors, therefore, have until 8 June 2005 to file and serve their answer to the above noted application. Bell Canada will have until 20 June to file and serve any reply comments. Commission staff notes that any documents must actually be received, and not merely sent, by those dates.
Sincerely,
Len Katz
