Re: Competitor Digital Network Services - Telecom Decision CRTC 2005-6 - Final Deferral Account Draw Down Estimates

In Competitor Digital Network Services , Telecom Decision CRTC 2005-6, 3 February 2005 ( Decision 2005-6), the Commission directed each ILEC to file, within 30 days of the date of the Decision, deferral account draw down estimates associated with: (a) the CDNA-eligible migrated demand and the CDN access and link rates approved in this Decision, effective 1 June 2002; and (b) the new CDN services and rates approved in this Decision, other than those that are the subject of compensation with respect to the CDNA service, provided for in (a) above, as of the date of the Decision.

Several ILECs requested an extension to the 30-day filing requirement.    In the circumstances, the requests to extend the filing deadline were considered reasonable.   Deferral account draw down estimates have now been filed by each ILEC in response to Decision 2005-6.

In order to assist in the disposition of the issues that are under consideration in the proceeding initiated by Review and disposition of deferral accounts for the second price cap period, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2004-1, 24 March 2004 , each ILEC is to file final deferral account draw down amounts attributed to CDN Services by 15 July 2005 .   Parties wishing to benefit from CDN rates are therefore required to identify the relevant CDN-eligible demand information to the appropriate ILEC by 1 June 2005

Yours sincerely,

Scott Hutton
