LetterOttawa, 8 April 2005 File No. 8740-S22-200503666 By Fax and E-mail document.control@sasktel.sk.ca
Mr. Brian Armstrong Dear Mr. Armstrong: RE: Saskatchewan Telecommunications Inc. - Tariff Notice 80, Digital Network Access Service On 31 March 2005 , the Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications Inc. (SaskTel) under cover of Tariff Notice 80, which proposes changes to the Digital Network Access DS-1 contracted rates. Commission staff notes that, in the proposed economic study and imputation test, it appears that the DS-0 demand and costs were included in determining the proposed rates for the DS-1 contracted rates. In the Commission staff's view, this would not be appropriate. Further, Commission staff notes that SaskTel did not provide the per unit cost in revenue of the proposed DS-1 service. Consequently, this file is closed. As this application is part of the company's 2005 Price Cap filing, the company is requested to file a revised application addressing the above issues by 15 April 2005 . The application must be filed under cover of new tariff notice. Yours sincerely, Original signed by S. Hutton
