Re: Application To Set Aside the Suspension of Consideration of ILECs' Applications for Promotions in the Local Wireline Market Pursuant to Telecom Public Notice 2003-1 and Telecom Public Notice 2003-1-1

This is further to Bell Canada 's application dated 11 March 2005, filed under Part VII of the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure, requesting that the Commission set aside:

  1. the decision in Telecom Public Notice 2003-1 (PN 2003-1) (paragraph 17) to ".suspend consideration of applications for winback promotions and other promotions that have the effect of targeting customers of competitors in the local wireline market until a decision is issued on the matters raised in this Public Notice," as amended by

  1. the decision in Telecom Public Notice 2003-1-1 (PN 2003-1-1) (paragraph 10) to ".suspend consideration of applications for ILEC promotions in the local wireline market until a decision is issued on the matters raised in this Public Notice".

A decision on the matters raised in PN's 2003-1 and 2003-1-1 will be issued within 30 days.   In light of the above, the application is being closed at this time.
