Deadline to commence operations

1.

The Commission approves the application by Newcap Inc. (originally filed by Sask-Alta Broadcasters Limited1) for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the transmitter CKSA-FM-1 Bonnyville authorized in CKSA Lloydminster - Conversion to FM band, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-461, 18 December 2002.

The Commission notes that this is the licensee's second request for an extension to implement its authority.

The transmitter must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 18 December 2006, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before that date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before that date.
