Revocation of licences

1.

Rogers Cable Communications Inc. (Rogers) has requested the revocation of its licences for the cable broadcasting distribution undertakings (BDU) authorized to serve Erin, Grand Valley and Ajax.

In Change of service area, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2005-63 and in Change of service area, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2005-64, both dated 15 February 2005, the Commission approved applications by Rogers to change the authorized service area of the cable BDU serving Orangeville to include Erin and Grand Valley and of the cable BDU serving Oshawa to include Ajax.

Rogers subsequently surrendered its separate cable BDU licences for Erin, Grand Valley and Ajax for revocation by the Commission.

Given the licensee's request, the Commission revokes, pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the separate broadcasting licences issued to Rogers for the above-mentioned undertakings.
