FM radio station in Ottawa - Technical change

1. The Commission approves the application by Newcap Inc. to change the authorized contours of the radio programming undertaking authorized in English-language alternative rock FM radio station in Ottawa,Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2005-253, 23 June 2005, by decreasing the average effective radiated power from 5,200 watts to 2,300 watts.
2. The licensee advised that the power reduction is required by the Department of Industry (the Department).
3. The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
