CFIC-FM Listuguj - Licence renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the Type B native radio programming undertaking CFIC-FM Listuguj, from 1 September 2005 to 31 August 2012.

The Commission notes that the licensee will continue to broadcast 126 hours per week of local programming, of which approximately 33% will be in the Micmac language and 67% in English. The Commission also notes that 60% of the musical selections broadcast will be performed or composed by Aboriginal persons. The licensee is reminded of the requirements for Canadian musical selections, set out in the Radio Regulations, 1986.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The licence will be subject to the conditions specified therein, as well as to those set out in Changes to conditions of licence for certain native radio undertakings, Public Notice CRTC 2001-70, 15 June 2001.
