| Application by THE SCORE TELEVISION NETWORK LTD. to amend the licence of the national specialty programming undertaking known as The Score. | ||
| The licensee has requested the addition of a condition of licence that will permit it, during Canadian election periods, to exclude partisan political advertising from the calculations of the amount of advertising that it broadcasts. | ||
| The Specialty Services Regulations, 1990 do not specify a maximum hourly amount of advertising material that licensees of specialty services may broadcast. Instead, advertising limits for such licensees are regulated by condition of licence, on an individual basis. The licensee has applied for the flexibility granted conventional television broadcasters through the amendment to the Television Broadcasting Regulations, 1987 (Public Notice CRTC 1995-159). | ||
