Telecom Order CRTC 2004-94

  Ottawa, 22 March 2004

Northwestel Inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 803

Video conferencing dial-up service

The Commission received an application by Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel), dated 12 February 2004, to revise General Tariff item 502, Video conferencing dial-up service, in order to reflect the name change and the new pricing of the service to better reflect market prices available elsewhere in Canada.

Northwestel submitted that it had not increased the room and equipment rates for video conferencing since 1994 when it introduced the service. The company indicated that recent equipment upgrades have improved the quality of service.

Northwestel filed a revenue impact study in support of its application.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Northwestel's application. The revisions take effect as of 2 April 2004.
