Interconnection rates

1.

The Commission received an application by Maskatel inc. (Maskatel), dated 3 February 2004, to revise the following General Tariff items:

The Commission notes that the application was filed pursuant to Interconnection rates, Telecom Order CRTC 2004-13, 8 January 2004, which directed the company to file proposed tariff pages reflecting the lower interconnection rates issued by the incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) pursuant to Regulatory framework for second price cap period, Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-34, 30 May 2002, with an effective date of 1 June 2003, or to provide cost justification for any departure from the ILECs' approved interconnection rates.

The Commission approves on an interim basis Maskatel's application. The revisions take effect as of 1 June 2003.
