Call Answer promotion |

The Commission received an application by Prince Rupert City Telephones (CityTel), dated 30 September 2004, to add item 24, Promotions, to its General Tariff in order to offer a one-time Call Answer promotion for a duration of two months. |

CityTel proposed to waive the service provision charge and the monthly rate charges for new residential and business subscribers to Call Answer service. |

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application. |

The Commission notes that this promotion is not within the scope of promotions suspended in Review of promotions, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2003-1-1, 13 March 2003. |

The Commission considers that the promotion in the present application is a legitimate promotion of limited duration. The Commission notes that the combined benefit and enrolment period does not exceed 12 months, and hence, is consistent with the Commission's duration requirements. |

The Commission approves CityTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this Order. |
