Telecom Order CRTC 2004-369

  Ottawa, 1 November 2004

Saskatchewan Telecommunications

  Reference: Tariff Notice 72

Emergency Voice Local Network Access Redirection service

The Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), dated 17 September 2004, to introduce Special Facilities Tariff item 1000.03, Emergency Voice Local Network Access Redirection.

In the event of an emergency, this custom-designed arrangement will enable SaskTel, upon the customer's request, to redirect the customer's voice-traffic telephone numbers to a predetermined alternate business location.

SaskTel indicated that the rate was developed on an individual basis and was based on the costs incurred to provide the service. SaskTel filed a cost study in support of the proposed special assembly.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves SaskTel's application. The revisions take effect as the date of this Order.
