NorthernTel Limited Partnership

Changes to the switching and aggregation component

1.

The Commission received an application by NorthernTel Limited Partnership (NorthernTel), dated 9 June 2004 and amended on 30 June 2004, to revise item 7.02, Network Charges, under section N630 of its Carrier Access Tariff in order to reflect changes to the switching and aggregation component of the tariff.

In accordance with the terms and conditions of the Toll Host Remote Transition Agreement between O.N.Telcom, NorthernTel and Bell Canada, approved by the Commission in Telecom Order CRTC 2004-265, 5 August 2004, NorthernTel proposed to decrease the host remote link charge to $0.002150 effective 1 January 2005 and to eliminate the charge effective 1 January 2006.

The Commission notes that during the transition period 1 January 2004 to 31 December 2005, O.N.Telcom will continue to provide host remote links for all interexchange traffic in the territory except for originating traffic carried by NorthernTel where the customers have chosen NorthernTel as their primary interexchange carrier.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves NorthernTel 's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

NorthernTel is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
