Telecom Order CRTC 2004-263 |
Ottawa, 5 August 2004 | |
|
TELUS Communications Inc. |
Reference: Tariff Notice 533 | |
Centrex service contract in Alberta |
|
1. |
The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 30 June 2004, to revise its former TCI General Tariff item 585, Centrex Service. |
2. |
In its application, TCI proposed to waive the early termination charge when a customer terminates all or parts of its Centrex service contract prior to the expiration date and replaces it with a new contract for TCI network access services of equal or greater value than the remaining value of the original contract. If the charges remaining are greater than those being committed under the new contract, then the termination charge will apply on the difference between the remaining value of the current contract and the value of the new contract. |
3. |
TCI submitted that its proposal is similar to the tariff revisions approved for Bell Canada's Centrex customers in Migration from Centrex services to other contracted access services, Telecom Order CRTC 2004-100, 26 March 2004. |
4. |
The Commission received no comments with respect to the application. |
5. |
The Commission approves TCI's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order. |
