Interconnection agreement for the provision of 9-1-1 service to a competitive local exchange carrier

1.

The Commission received an application by Shaw Telecom Inc. (Shaw), dated 9 June 2004, for approval of the Interconnection Agreement for the Provision of 9-1-1 Service to a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (the agreement) between Shaw and TELUS Communications Inc.

2.

The proposed agreement sets out the terms and conditions governing the relationship between the company and the competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) with respect to interconnection by the CLEC with the company's 9-1-1 service.

3.

The Commission notes that the proposed agreement contains terms and conditions similar to those in other 9-1-1 interconnection agreements between CLECs and incumbent local exchange carriers.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves Shaw's application.
