Telecom Order CRTC 2004-190

  Ottawa, 11 June 2004

Prince Rupert City Telephones

  Reference: Tariff Notice 77

Billing and collection service

The Commission received an application by Prince Rupert City Telephones (CityTel), dated 4 May 2004, to add pages 2-24 and 2-25, Billing and Collection Service - Type 2, to section 2 of its General Tariff.

This service will allow CityTel to bill and collect on behalf of the competitive interexchange carriers or resellers for casual calls and calls charged to a line not pre-subscribed to the carrier handling the call.

CityTel indicated that the proposed tariff rates were identical to those approved for the Canadian Alliance of Publicly-Owned Telecommunications Systems in Telecom Order CRTC 2002-166, 18 April 2002.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves CityTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

CityTel is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
