Telecom Order CRTC 2004-175

  Ottawa, 31 May 2004

Northwestel Inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 806

Occupancy rates for radio sites

The Commission received an application by Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel), dated 14 April 2004, to revise Special Services Tariff item 702, Occupancy Rates for Radio Sites, in order to revise the rates and conditions of antenna attachments to better reflect current industry trends.

Northwestel submitted that it had not increased rates for antenna attachments in over 16 years and that the proposed tariff would reflect the load that certain types of antennas place on Northwestel's towers.

Northwestel filed a revenue impact study in support of its application.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission finds the revenue impact study is satisfactory.

The Commission approves Northwestel's application. The revisions take effect as of 28 June 2004.
