Telecom Order CRTC 2004-17

  Ottawa, 12 January 2004

Bell Canada

  Reference: Tariff Notice 6784

Access to automatic route selection

1.

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 5 December 2003, to revise Special Facilities Tariff item B27, Access to Automatic Route Selection, in order to modify the service charge structure from a single rate to various rates depending on the length of contract and the number of locals the customer takes. This service provides for access from a Centrex III local to automatic route selection without the need to dial an access code.

2.

Bell Canada also proposed to add an item to indicate the number of locals which will correspond to the change in the service charge to reflect the customer's configuration.

3.

Bell Canada submitted that the monthly rate per local would remain the same and is not associated with a contract term.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
