Telecom Order CRTC 2004-14

  Ottawa, 9 January 2004

Bell Canada

  Reference: Tariff Notice 6782

Centrex Microlink Access

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 2 December 2003, to revise General Tariff item 675, Centrex III Service, in order to destandardize the D channel packet link associated with the Centrex Microlink Access Service.

Bell Canada submitted that under the terms of destandardization, the company proposed to leave existing links in place, unless moves, changes or rearrangements are requested to the configuration. The customer would then be requested to consider an alternative service arrangement.

The D channel packet link provides the central office equipment required to connect the Access D channel of Microlink services to the digital network facilities used to reach private and/or public packet switched data networks.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application. The revisions take effect as of 30 January 2004.
