Ottawa, 15 April 2004 | |
Saskatchewan Telecommunications |
|
Reference: Tariff Notice 48 | |
Provincial Enhanced 9-1-1 Service |
|
1. |
The Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), dated 23 April 2003, to revise item 140.05 of its General Tariff - Basic Services, Provincial Enhanced 9-1-1 Service, in order to incorporate the limitation of liability provisions set out at item 74 of its General Terms of Service. |
2. |
SaskTel submitted that the proposed changes would align its tariff with the limitation of liability provisions in the associated standard 9-1-1 agreement. |
3. |
The Commission received no comments with respect to this application. |
4. |
The Commission notes that SaskTel's proposal is consistent with the limitation of liability provisions approved for the provincial 9-1-1 services of the other incumbent local exchange carriers. The Commission is of the view that it is appropriate for the limitation of liability provisions set out at item 74 of SaskTel's General Terms of Service to apply to SaskTel's Provincial Enhanced 9-1-1 Service. |
5. |
The Commission approves SaskTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order and take precedence in the event of any inconsistency between the tariff and associated 9-1-1 agreement. |
