The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 13 January 2004 and amended on 2 February 2004, in order to reflect the amalgamation and replacement of the following former handbooks: |

TCI's Primary Interexchange Carrier/Customer Account Record Exchange (PIC/CARE) Access Customer Handbook would provide interexchange carriers (IXCs) with information relating to the exchange of PIC/CARE information between an IXC and TCI. |

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application. |

The handbook is based on the most recent version of the Model PIC/CARE Access Customer Handbook, version 3.0. The handbook provides the necessary information with respect to PIC processing and is consistent with handbooks filed by other telephone companies. |

In July 2000, the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) Business Process Working Group developed a model PIC/CARE handbook (CISC model), which was updated in July 2003, for use by the telecommunications industry. |

The Commission approves TCI's application. The revisions take effect as of the 1 July 2004. |
