Re: PN 2004-1, Re-instatement of Aliant Telecom Inc. to proceeding
In a letter dated 18 June 2004 , the Commission granted approval to Aliant Telecom Inc.'s (Aliant Telecom) request to make its proposals regarding the treatment of the amount in its deferral account at a later date, in light of the labour disruption.
In light of the settlement of the Aliant Telecom labour disruption, Commission staff considers it appropriate to fully reinstate the company to the proceeding. Aliant Telecom is to file proposals regarding the treatment of the amount in its deferral account, by 28 January 2005 . Commission staff also considers it appropriate to suspend the deadline for parties to file reply comments, currently scheduled for 29 October 2004 . An amended process in light of the revised Aliant Telecom filing date will be outlined in a follow-up letter.
