Mr. Wayne Charman Fax: 613-233-6961 Re: Request for revision of deadline for filing annual reports regarding cultural diversity corporate plans Dear Mr. Charman: Thank you for your letter of 15 November 2004 requesting that the Commission establish a new deadline of January 31st for all broadcasters required to file annual reports on the progress of implementation of their cultural diversity corporate plans. Specifically, you state that the current deadline of December 31st closely follows the deadline for the filing of annual return forms, which are substantial in and of themselves. You submit that a new deadline of January 31st for the diversity annual reports would allow for more thorough and comprehensive submissions. In view of these concerns, the proposed deadline of January 31st is acceptable to the Commission. Sincerely,
