Subject: 2002-2003 annual report of the national TVA network - Decision CRTC 98-488

Dear Mr. Bellerose:

Thank you for your third activity report for the national TVA network for the period from 1 September 2002 to 31 August 2003.

The report, as submitted, will be placed in the TVA network's public file, including your withdrawal of the request for confidentiality with respect to certain financial information.

The Commission will review in detail all of the activities related to the operation of the national TVA network when it analyses the application for renewal of the TVA Group licence, which expires on 31 August 2008.

We would like to bring to your attention that the Commission recently filed its first action plan following its designation for implementation pursuant to section 41 of the Official Languages Act, on 22 August 2003 (enclosed). In this respect, we would be grateful if you would read the measures and objectives targeted by the Commission, particularly with regard to the monitoring of licensee conditions and commitments pertaining to the reflection of minority official-language communities.

Yours truly,

Diane Rhéaume
Secretary General

Encl.
