CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee - Consensus items

Consensus reports submitted to the CISC Steering Committee

1.

The Canadian Steering Committee on Numbering (CSCN) submitted several consensus reports to the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC).

On 8 August 2003, the Steering Committee (SC) approved the following report:
 

- CSCN TIF 48 Multiple Operating Company Number (Multi-OCN) Oddball CO Codes, dated 18 June 2003 (CNRE036A). The CSCN reached a consensus on the necessity to publish Multi-OCN Canadian Central Office (CO) codes with Oddball characteristics in the Local Exchange Routing Guide. Oddball CO Codes are CO Codes generally not associated with a particular rate center within any area code and can be used in every rate center in an area code or even in every area code nationwide.

On 14 May 2004, the SC approved the following reports:
 

- CSCN TIF Report re: Revised CSCN Adjunct to the CISC Administrative Guidelines, dated 10 March 2004 (CNRE038A and CSCNAdmGL). The CSCN reached consensus on a revised Adjunct to the CISC Administrative Guidelines to improve CSCN processes and to ensure that these are harmonized with the CISC Administrative Guidelines.

 

- CSCN TIF Report re: Revised Canadian Numbering Resource Utilization Forecast Guideline (C-NRUF), dated 10 March 2004 (CNRE039A and C-NRUFGLV2). The CSCN reached consensus on revisions to the C-NRUF Guidelines to improve the accuracy of the C-NRUF process.

The consensus reports were referred to the Commission for consideration. These reports are available through the Commission's web site.
