Consensus reports submitted to the CISC Steering Committee |

1. |
Several CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) working groups submitted consensus reports to the CISC Steering Committee (SC). |

On 8 February 2001 the SC approved the following reports: |
- Proposal for clarification of TELUS Security Clearance Practice, dated 18 January 2001 (CLRE013A). The Co-location Working Group (CLG) reached consensus on security clearance practices to allow co-locating parties access to their co-located equipment in TELUS central offices. |

- Pre-Selection Site Tours, dated 22 January 2001 (CLRE014A). The CLG reached consensus on procedures to allow co-locating parties the opportunity to view a prospective co-location site in advance of its delivery. |

On 29 March 2004 the SC approved the following report: |
- Installation, Testing and Maintenance Guidelines Version 3.0, dated 17 March 2004 (BPRE037a and ITMGV3-0). The Business Process Working Group (BPWG) reached a consensus on an update to the Installation, Testing and Maintenance Guidelines to reflect various Commission determinations and further refinement to the existing processes. |

In Call-Net Part VII Application - Promotion of local residential competition, Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-4, 27 January 2004, the Commission directed the BPWG of the CISC to report by 29 March 2004 on what work incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) technicians could and should perform on behalf of the competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) when provisioning residential unbundled loops, including procedures for how this could be accomplished and implemented as soon as possible. |

The Commission received Follow-up to Decision 2004-4 Call-Net Part VII Application - Promotion of local residential competition, a consensus report from the BPWG on 29 March 2004. |

In that report, the BPWG described a list of tasks that could and should be performed by ILEC technicians on behalf of the CLECs when provisioning residential unbundled loops. Parties agreed that before fully implementing these tasks, a field trial should be held to fine-tune the processes established. The parties that are ordering, provisioning and maintaining local residential loops expected to run the field trial for a period of six weeks starting 14 June 2004 and barring major problems, the wide-scale adoption of these would be rolled-out throughout August 2004 in all ILEC territories. |
