CKVQ-FM Vermilion Bay and its transmitter CKVQ-FM-2 Kenora - Technical change

1. The Commission approves the application by Norwesto Communications Ltd. to change the authorized contours of its transmitter CKVQ-FM-2 Kenora, authorized in English-language FM radio station in Vermilion Bay, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2004-143, 13 April 2004, by decreasing the effective radiated power from 1,700 watts to 1,600 watts and by relocating the transmitter. The antenna height will also be increased from 105.2 metres to 112.8 metres.
2. The licensee advised that the original transmitter site became unavailable and an alternate location was required.
3. The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
