Deadline to commence operations

1.

The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new transmitter of CBK-FM Regina, authorized in Addition of a transmitter of CBK-FM at Prince Albert, Decision CRTC 2000-305, 10 August 2000.

The Commission notes that this is the licensee's third request for an extension to implement its authority.

The transmitter must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 31 December 2004, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before this date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before that date.
