Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2004-30
5 May 2004

Deadline to commence operations

The Commission approves the application by Aboriginal Voices Radio Inc. for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the native FM programming undertaking authorized in New native FM station to serve the Ottawa-Hull region, Decision CRTC 2001-627, 4 October 2001.

This is the applicant's fourth request for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of this undertaking.

The Commission received one intervention in support of this application.

The licence for this undertaking will be issued once the applicant has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. The undertaking must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 14 October 2004, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before that date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted at least 60 days before that date.
