CBXT Edmonton - New transmitters in Coronation and Red Deer

1. The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to amend the broadcasting licence for the television programming undertaking CBXT Edmonton in order to operate transmitters in Coronation and Red Deer. The transmitters will enable viewers in Coronation and Red Deer to receive the programming originating from CBXT Edmonton.
2. The transmitter in Coronation will operate on channel 10 with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 98,000 watts. The transmitter in Red Deer will operate on channel 10 with an ERP of 180,000 watts.
3. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.
4. The transmitters must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 24 months from the date of this decision, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before 26 February 2006. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before this date.
