Telecom Order CRTC 2003-85

Ottawa, 20 February 2003

TELUS Communications Inc.

Reference: Tariff Notice 70

Radio tower access service

The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 30 October 2002, to introduce Carrier Access Tariff item 215, Radio Tower Access Service.

TCI proposed to migrate TCI General Tariff (CRTC 18001) item 695, Wireless System Operators - Tower Service, applicable in Alberta, with certain changes, to TCI Carrier Access Tariff item 215, Radio Tower Access Service, and proposed to extend item 215 to British Columbia.

TCI stated that it had notified customers of the opportunity to submit comments on this application.

The Commission, in Telecom Order CRTC 2002-457 (Order 2002-457) dated 10 December 2002, approved on an interim basis TCI's terms, conditions and rates that were currently being billed in British Columbia for radio tower access service and directed TCI to issue tariff pages reflecting the Commission's determinations. The Commission further directed that TCI's current tariffs with respect to radio tower access service in Alberta, were to be made interim.

On 23 January 2003, TCI issued tariff pages to reflect the terms, conditions and rates that are currently being billed in British Columbia for radio tower access service.

The Commission is of the view that TCI has complied with Commission directives as stated in Order 2002-457.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

In light of the above, the Commission approves TCI's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
