TELUS Communications Inc.

Provincial 9-1-1 service


The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 22 November 2002, to revise the former TELUS Communications (B.C.) Inc. Special Services item 121, Provincial 9-1-1 Service, in order to reduce the province-wide 9-1-1 monthly rate from $0.17 to $0.16 per working telephone number, and to implement a corresponding reduction to the monthly rate from $0.085 to $0.080 per working telephone number for wireless service providers.


The application was filed pursuant to the directives set out in 9-1-1 Service - Rates for Wireless Service Providers, Centrex Customers and Multi-Line Customers/Manual Access to the Automatic Location Identification Database, Telecom Decision CRTC 99-17, 29 October 1999 and modified inRates modified for province-wide 9-1-1 service, Order CRTC 2000-630, 6 July 2000.


The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.


The Commission approves TCI's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
