Interconnection and settlement agreement

1.

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 24 July 2001, for approval of the executed Interconnection and Settlement Agreement (the agreement) between Bell Canada and Québec-Téléphone (now TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc.). The agreement was filed pursuant to Applications by Québec-Téléphone and Bell Canada with respect to settlement and interconnection issues between the two companies, Telecom Order CRTC 99-756, 3 August 1999.

Bell Canada filed an executed copy of the toll settlement portion of the agreement on 24 April 2001.

Bell Canada noted that the agreement is the final settlement of all the outstanding financial matters between the two companies, which pertain to toll compensation between 1 July 1998 to 31 December 1999.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves the toll settlement portion of the Interconnection and Settlement Agreement.
