Bell Canada

Access arrangements

1.

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 31 October 2003, to revise item 105, Local Network Interconnection and Component Unbundling, of its Access Services Tariff for Interconnection with Carriers and Other Service Providers in order to revise type C Loops and Connecting Links type A and B.

Bell Canada proposed to update the tariff pages to include item 130, Competitive Digital Network Access, in its Access Services Tariff and item 301.3, Digital Network Access, in the National Services Tariff as the references for the applicable rates and charges for the type C loop. Bell Canada also proposed to remove all references to Connecting Link C.

In addition, Bell Canada proposed to remove the reference to charges for Connecting Links A and B, with and without Intermediate Distribution Frame, to bring its tariff into accordance with the Commission's determination in Final rates for unbundled local network components, Telecom Decision CRTC 98-22, 30 November 1998 (Decision 98-22) as amended in Telecom Decision CRTC 1998-22-1, 10 December 1998. Bell Canada further proposed to update the tariff pages to remove all references to distance charges pertaining to Connecting Links A and B pursuant to Decision 98-22.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
