Telecom Order CRTC 2003-475

  Ottawa, 26 November 2003

Téléphone Guèvremont inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 32

Use of carrier facilities

1.

The Commission received an application by Téléphone Guèvremont inc. (Guèvremont), dated 17 September 2003, to add item 2.8, Use of carrier facilities, to section 2.8 of its General Tariff in order to introduce the following support structure rates:

  • $15.45 per year per pole space rental; and

  • $0.24 per span per month for the use of a strand.

2.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

3.

In Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001 (Decision 2001-756), the Commission assigned the services in question to the fourth price cap service basket. In that decision, the Commission determined that rates for such services would generally be permitted to increase up to any already approved rate for the same service.

4.

The Commission finds that the proposed rates were previously approved by the Commission for the same services provided by other companies and, therefore, are in accordance with Decision 2001-756.

5.

The Commission approves Guèvremont's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

6.

Guèvremont is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
