Phase III Manual updates

1.

The Commission received an application from Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel) dated 27 June 2003, requesting approval of proposed revisions to the company's Phase III Manual to be incorporated into the 2002 Phase III results.

2.

Northwestel indicated that its proposed revisions to its Phase III Manual were based on refinements to its assignment methodologies which reflect changes in normal ongoing business operations as well as the Phase III treatment of expenses incurred during the eight-week work stoppage in 2002.

The Commission received no comments with respect to this application.

4.

The Commission finds that the proposed revisions are appropriate and approves Northwestel's proposal as submitted.

5.

Northwestel is to issue forthwith the amended Phase III Manual pages to the Commission and serve them on interested parties, within 30 days of the date of this order, to reflect the approved revisions.
