Telecom Order CRTC 2003-419

  Ottawa, 15 October 2003

FCI Broadband

  Reference: Tariff Notice 12

Diagnostic maintenance charge

The Commission received an application by FCI Broadband, dated 4 September 2003, to introduce diagnostic maintenance charge provisions to General Tariff item 204, Local Network Access Arrangement, which would be applicable when a local exchange carrier (LEC) customer reports trouble on an FCI Broadband loop but after investigation, FCI Broadband determines that the problems are on the LEC's network.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission finds that the proposed rates for diagnostic maintenance charge were previously approved by the Commission for the same service provided by other companies.

The Commission approves on an interim basis FCI Broadband's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
