Northwestel Inc.

Message toll service

1.

The Commission received an application by Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel), dated 28 January 2003, to revise Message Toll Service - Special Two-point services item 313, Prepaid Service, in order to:
 

· introduce a rate table for North American originating and terminating traffic
  referred to as rate schedules consisting of combinations of per call connection fees
  and per minute rates in item 313, section (3), Rates;

 

· replace the available card denominations in item 313, section (1), with a minimum
  card denomination price floor of $5.00; and

 

· introduce an international mobile termination surcharge of $0.50 per minute in
  item 313, section (3), sub clause 5.

The Commission approved in part, on an interim basis, the ex parte application in Telecom Order CRTC 2003-255, 26 June 2003.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission approves on a final basis the proposed replacement of pre-paid calling card denominations currently available with a minimum card denomination of $5.00 and the introduction of an international mobile termination surcharge of $0.50 per minute.
