Telecom Order CRTC 2003-372

  Ottawa, 8 September 2003

Bell Canada

  Reference: Tariff Notice 6760

Market trial for Reference of calls service

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 22 July 2003, to revise General Tariff item 72.2, Reference of Calls (ROC) Service - Consumer Market Trial, in order to introduce a market trial, from 2 September 2003 to 6 October 2003, for a new paid optional ROC service to residential customers.

In its application, Bell Canada submitted that the trial would provide residential customers optional ROC service on main telephone numbers and/or billing telephone numbers for a 3-month or 6-month period, whereby a one-time charge of $15.90 or $34.75, respectively, would apply. In addition, ROC service would be available on additional telephone numbers at rates of $5.00 and $12.50, respectively, for the same time periods.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application.

Bell Canada is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith reflecting this decision effective on the date of issuance.
