Telecom Order CRTC 2003-37

Ottawa, 20 January 2003

Saskatchewan Telecommunications

Reference: Tariff Notice 38

Non-material changes to SmartTouch subscription service

1.

The Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), dated 28 November 2002, to update General Tariff item 150.15, SmartTouch Subscription Service.

2.

SaskTel proposed the removal of the Suppressed Ring Service feature because the older technology used to provide this service was obsolete and there were no customers for this service. SaskTel also indicated that it did not anticipate any further demand for the service.

3.

SaskTel also clarified in the application that SmartTouch features were also available to multi-line customers, a revision that was inadvertently missed in the customer description.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves SaskTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
