Wireless access service and paging access services

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 18 June 2003 and amended on 7 July 2003, to revise Island Telecom Inc. General Tariff (GT) items 920 and 922, Maritime Tel & Tel Limited GT items 1270, 1350, 1355 and 1365, NBTel Inc. GT items 805 and 820 and NewTel Communications Inc. GT items 290 and 295, in order to adopt the monthly rate structure of Bell Canada for wireless access service (WAS) and paging services pursuant to Rates for co-location floor space, Direct Connection service, Wireless Access Service: Line-side Access services, and Wireless Service Providers Enhanced Provincial 9-1-1 Network Access service, Telecom Decision CRTC 2003-12, 18 March 2003.

Aliant Telecom stated that some rate structure adjustments were required to a few tariff items to provide for the adoption of the Bell Canada WAS telephone number and channel rates.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
