Telecom Order CRTC 2003-284

  Ottawa, 15 July 2003

Bell Canada

Reference: Tariff Notice 779 (National Services Tariff)

Business Savings Plan for long distance service

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 29 May 2003, proposing revisions to Special Facilities Services (Special Assemblies) Tariff item 720, Master Agreement - Customer specific Arrangement, in order to add a Business Savings Plan for long distance service.

Bell Canada stated that many customers subscribe to this long distance plan as part of the customer specific arrangements (CSAs) filed pursuant to Regulatory safeguards with respect to incumbent affiliates, bundling by Bell Canada and related matters, Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-76, 12 December 2002. Bell Canada stated that approval of the proposed tariff would allow the company, in the future, to reference the Business Savings Plan and eliminate the requirement to file these rates within each CSA tariff.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
