Bell Canada

Reference: Tariff Notices 6755 and 6755A

High Speed Metro service

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 10 June 2003 and amended on 27 June 2003, to introduce General Tariff item 5030, High Speed Metro Service (HSM), in order to provide customers with managed high bandwidth capabilities and high speed optical data channels between two or more locations in a metropolitan area.

In its application, Bell Canada noted that HSM would be deployed in exchanges that have sufficient fibre connectivity available between end customer sites.

The Commission approves on an interim basis Bell Canada's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
