Online tariffs service

The Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), dated 31 March 2003, to replace the company's tariff subscription (paper version) service with a publicly available, no-charge service via Internet at www.sasktel.com by introducing General Tariff - Basic Services item 99, SaskTel Online Tariffs, and removing item 86, Tariff Subscription Service. SaskTel is also proposing a revision to item 51.6, General Terms of Service, to add a reference to its web site.

SaskTel submitted that its proposal for its online tariffs service has incorporated the guidelines set out by the Commission in Order CRTC 2000-552, 16 June 2000.

SaskTel submitted that customers who have paid for the former tariff subscription service would receive a one-time refund of any outstanding subscription as of 1 May 2003 and would continue to receive the paper-copy tariff updates for a six-month period from the approved effective date of the application.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves SaskTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order and the refund date is set for 1 June 2003.
