Tariff for the interconnection services of competitive local exchange carriers

1.

The Commission received an application by ISP Telecom Inc. (ISP Telecom), dated 28 December 2002, for approval of its proposed General Tariff setting out the rates, terms and conditions for the provision of interconnection services to other telecommunications service providers, pursuant to Model tariff for the interconnection services of competitive local exchange carriers, Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-54, 3 September 2002 (Decision 2002-54).

The Commission notes that, as part of its application, ISP Telecom has reflected the access tandem (AT) and direct connection (DC) rates of the incumbent local exchange carriers to reflect the lower rates approved on an interim basis in Interim rates for Access Tandem service and Direct Connection service, Telecom Order CRTC 2002-384, 24 September 2002 (Order 2002-384), and in Revised interim rates for Access Tandem service, Telecom Order CRTC 2002-412, 31 October 2002 (Order 2002-412).

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission notes that the rates, terms and conditions are in compliance with Decision 2002-54, and the AT and DC rates appropriately reflect the rates contained in Orders 2002-384 and 2002-412.

The Commission approves the terms and conditions of ISP Telecom's General Tariff effective the date of this order, and approves on an interim basis all of the rates contained in the application retroactive to 1 June 2002.

ISP Telecom is to issue tariff pages forthwith giving effect to paragraph 5.
