Letter

Ottawa, 22 December 2003

To Recipient

This letter is intended to inform you that on 11 December 2003, the Commission issued its first Telecommunications Circular 2003-01, a copy of which is attached. The Circular is also available through the CRTC's website at http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2003/ct2003-1.htm

This letter along with a copy of the Circular is being forwarded to a broad list of telecommunications service providers and others, to ensure parties are aware of the existence of the Circular and of a requirement, as stated in the attached, to submit certain basic information to the Commission no later than 14 January 2004.

Please read the attached Circular and contact telinfo@crtc.gc.ca if further information is required.

The Commission will use Telecommunications Circulars as one means by which to communicate procedural and administrative notices to the industry when appropriate. Entities are therefore encouraged to remain alert to these postings on the CRTC's website.

Regards,
