Re: Review of price floor safeguards for retail tariffed services and related issues, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2003-8, 23 October 2003 (PN 2003 8) - Request for Amended Procedures

Dear Sir/Madam:

The Commission has received an application dated 3 November 2003 filed jointly by Aliant Telecom Inc., Bell Canada, MTS Communications Inc., Saskatchewan Telecommunications, TELUS Communications Inc., TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc. and Société en commandite Télébec (the "Companies"). Pursuant to Rules 8 and 27 of the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure, the Companies request that the process for interim determinations set out in paragraphs 45 and 46 of Review of price floor safeguards for retail tariffed services and related issues, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2003 8, 23 October 2003 (PN 2003 8) be amended and supplemented.

Parties may by Friday, 7 November 2003 file with the Commission and serve on the Companies comments in response to the application. The Companies may by Monday, 10 November 2003 file with the Commission and serve on all interested parties comments in reply thereto. Other parties wishing to participate in the PN 2003 8 proceeding may now notify the Commission of their intention to do so by 12 November 2003. Unless and until the Commission determines otherwise, parties should continue to prepare their submissions on the assumption that the other dates in PN 2003 8, including the 24 November 2003 deadline for submission of comments, apply.

All documents must be received, and not merely sent, by the dates indicated.
